As I discussed in my previews post I, I am posting all of my favorite trends this spring and where you can find them for inexpensive prices. In this post, it’s all about how to take a basic white shirt and denim jeans outfit and give it an elevated look with ruffles and colorful heels. This whole outfit together cost me $70!!!
Yes, you heard me correctly, a whole outfit for under $100. Anybody can throw on a white tee and jeans but the added ruffles to this shirt give it that added detail that my favorite place to shop right now, Zara, is so great at. This shirt was only $20 so I had to pick it up. It also comes in around 3 different colors. I first saw it on my favorite blogger Walkinwonderland in red. I chose the white instead so I can pair it with any color bottom I wanted to. As far as the jeans, I first saw them on my sister. That same day I went to Forever21 and purchased them for only $30. I haven't purchased jeans from Forever in years but these jeans (distressed, light wash, mom jeans) for $30 from Forever21 "did that". I love that the rip on the back of the jeans is not too high where you’re actually showing your butt either. Lastly are these turquoise heels I purchased at a boutique in New York for $20. I got them a couple years back and they are still holding up today. I normally don’t do bright colors like red and yellow when it comes to heels so this soft turquoise color was just the pop of color this outfit needed. I hope you enjoyed this classic look modernized with ruffles. Give me your thoughts on this new trend of ruffles and if you love it or hate it. Until next time, remember it’s always STYLEDBYTIFF.
A little about me and where I took these images. After I graduated from college, I moved to Richmond, VA. I spent three years in Richmond in Carytown and loved it for its history, great small business restaurants, the art scene, and its cool vibes. The artwork in this photo is all over Richmond. Almost every building has unique graffiti that looks amazing and sets this city apart from others. Even though I am glad I made the move to DC, I will always have a love for Richmond and I love going back to visit.
